That’s it! We’re riding. That’s all there is to say about that.
It’s been a long winter, and we’ve had many bikes misadventures. The GasGas, currently having some technical difficulties, has been replaced by a (second) DRZ400sm, which is, so far, well worthy of its reputation as the most reliable supermoto. It’s definitely a fun toy, highly recommended.
While riding in East Sooke last Sunday we encountered this little fellow :
We tried to be as gentle as we could, gave a few “braaps” as we usually do to make sure mom, if she’s around, would be scared and to get the little fellow off the road, as we like our bears alive. We’ve encountered quite a few over the years, but this is probably the best footage we have thus far.
Too bad somebody (ahem!) had their camera off last year when slowly following two cubs and seeing the mom dart out of the woods, stand on it’s rear paws and do a little stomping dance 20 feet in front of the bikes.
Stay safe out there.
